My name is Parys Gardener and I’m a contemporary digital illustrator based in Bristol, UK.
My style of work is most easily described as pop art with a modern edge.
During my time at University I developed a passion for communicating theories surrounding identity and culture and will often take inspiration from my own background and family history. As you’ll find I thoroughly enjoy working with colour, tone and pattern across digital processes. My work aims to highlight the voices and narratives of people from a diverse range of social and economical backgrounds through the prospective of my own story and experiences in a bright and engaging way.
I have been featured as one of Bristols 24 Most Influential Bristolians Under 24: 2018 as well as HuffPost UK Top Ten pieces of art and photography on the theme of black culture in the UK.
I have received commissions from a range of print and online publications such as gal-dem, B24/7 and Noa-Vee. I am currently working as co-creator on a sexual health platform called Kayleigh Daniels Dated.
